1001 Arabian Nights and a matineeAuthortlc Creative

Style British Pantomime. Slapstick, visual jokes, puns, mayhem and a camel.
Synopsis There's trouble brewing in old Baghdad! Unless the Princess Jasmina marries before her 21st Birthday, the evil Vizier will take control of the city! Things look grim... but hang on! A posse of would-be heroes are here to save the day! The love sick Ali Barber (who pines for the Princess), his dim witted brother Singbad the sailor and his fearsome mother, Dame Barber are ready to intervene and foil the villain's fiendish plot. They are helped along the way by their pal 'Bob' (a lad with a secret), a pantomime camel named Humpy and a lady Genie who's been stuck in a magic ruby for far too long!

Style Family show, an alternative to British Pantomime, including some similar elements such as audience interaction. (Either a long one-act play, or a short two-act!)
Synopsis The Wicked Witch has changed the endings to all the Fairy Tales so that evil will triumph, and she's kidnapped the Fairy Queen to stop her reversing the spell. Only Hansel, Gretel and Paddy the Gingerbread man can save the tales.

A Fishy School

Performance by Dean Hole Primary School won the 10th annual Wolfit drama and verse speaking competition.

Style A large-cast fantasy, set in an underwater school. Minimal set and props. Opportunities for dance routines (music is not provided with the script).
Synopsis The tiddlers in the school are threatened by the pike family, King & Queenie Fisher, and the dangling worm. Only wimpy Wilfred Minnow can save them, but will he do it? Will Old Trout help him and who really is she? Can the stickleback teachers teach the tiddlers? Will the staff room run out of coffee?

Synopsis Othello, a Moorish general in the Venetian army, secretly marries Desdemona, daughter of a nobleman. Roderigo, a suitor of Desdemona, and Iago, a jealous soldier, conspire against Othello, turning him against Desdemona, with disastrous consequences.

A Grimm Night for Hans Christian Andersen (Musical)AuthorSue Gordon
