Working in the Following Genre:
Pantomime
On Stage Lorraine has appeared in a number of plays and pantomimes with Centre Stage Company at Haverhill Arts Centre and Sudbury Dramatic Society at The Quay Theatre in Suffolk. Her roles have included Princess Joyful in 'Jack & The Beanstalk,' Esmerelda in 'The Hunchback Of Notre Dame,' Nancy in 'Oliver!' and Romaine in Agatha Christie's 'Witness For The Prosecution.' |
Behind The Scenes Lorraine choreographed some of the song and dance numbers in 'Puss In Boots'(her first published pantomime) and won Best Director at the 2010 Haverhill Drama Festival for directorial debut of 'The Cobbler's Ball.' Her pantomime scripts stay true to the origins of their legends and fairytales and are packed full of slapstick humour and cheeky gags with one or two cunning twists to their tales. |
Nice... Lorraine took a trip to see The St Neots Players perform her version of 'Beauty & The Beast.' During their curtain call, they called her up onto the stage to take a bow, presented her with the white rose from the show and invited her to the after show party. The Laughing Stock Theatre Society filmed some of their 'Puss In Boots' rehearsals as part of a short documentary which can be seen on You Tube. |
