Suzan is a writer, television and theatre producer and director. She trained as a newspaper journalist before moving into TV working in news, current affairs, arts, music and lifestyle programmes. She was series editor of ITV's daytime talkshow 'Loose Women' and has worked as a theatre producer for Brendan O'Carroll, creator and star of BBC TV comedy show 'Mrs Brown's Boys'. |
She formed her own company - Dramarama, when she needed a career that fitted better with the demands of motherhood. For more than ten years she taught drama and theatre skills to children aged 7 - 11 and produced many school productions, directing, choreographing and staging the shows. She combines her knowledge of what makes a good show with her writing skills to create her scripts. |
From 2012 - 2015 she worked as Director of a large youth theatre group working with 11 - 18 year olds. She created 3 original productions Cinderella, Aladdin - Adventures in the East and Peter Panto. All were sell out shows with rave reviews.

Suzan's latest play 'Shake It Up Baby' premiered in Manchester in September 2015. The comedy play tells the story of Beatles fan Bev, a housewife who dabbles in internet dating with dire consequences. It was awarded Best Play in the North West Theatre Awards 2015. She is looking to tour this production in the near future. |
