Full-Length Plays
Born in 1935, David has maintained a close association with theatre for more than fifty years. He has performed in more than two hundred plays and directed about eighty in Kent, Berkshire and Herefordshire as well as appearing in a number of plays at the Edinburgh Festival. He now runs a small touring company which takes plays to the rural communities of Herefordshire. The youth section of that company perform an open-air Shakespeare at the end of the summer each year and Dave has adapted seven of the bard’s works for his young actors. Henry V Revisited takes a different approach, giving his youth company a modern version of the play and, with often comic effect, exposing and explaining the real history behind the play. |
