Working in the Following Genres:
Full-Length Plays
One-Act Plays
Background Martin's interest in theatre began at the age of sixteen when he appeared in pantomime as a member of the chorus. Several years later, having realised that pantomime was only one of a vast array of genres, he developed a passion for directing. As a member of various groups in the west London and Surrey areas, he fulfilled ambitions by taking on Equus and Breaking the Code, two of his favourite plays. Thirty years after directing his first production, Martin retains a bucket list of plays that he would like to direct, including Look Back in Anger and Death of a Salesman. |
Writing As a member of a group that staged various murder mystery plays over the years, Martin took an interest in the genre and wrote his first play in 2012, called Dead Air. This was followed by Corner's Last Case and White Rock, both whodunnits. The acceptance of Dead Air spurred Martin on to develop his interest in writing and he is currently working on two other plays, both murder mysteries. |
