Full-Length Plays
Co-writer with David Weir of the spoof murder mystery play Murdering the Truth, set in a local newspaper office. The script plays with many of the murder mystery conventions with a nod to Agatha Christie, and a backdrop of a British local newspaper office in the 1970s or 80s. Characters include the news editor, editor, local correspondent and local MP.
The writers draw on both their own experiences as local newspaper reporters and their love of crime fiction.
Murdering the Truth was first performed at the London fringe theatre the Onion Shed, and then on the main stage at Greenwich Theatre, London, (four-night run). |
