Full-Length Plays
Biography Sandy has a First-Class Honours degree and an M.A. in Drama and Theatre Studies. She was Artistic Director of Fizz Theatre Company for five years, which toured to venues in central London and the south of England, and now runs Bryteye Productions with her husband Mike, bringing professional theatre to the regions. She was an examiner for LAMDA for many years and still prepares students for drama exams and auditions. Her many acting roles range from the tragedy of Chekhov to the comedy of Coward, but her most challenging role to date was playing the eighty-year-old Barbara Cartland. (Connaught Theatre, Worthing.)
Her plays are inspired by Alan Ayckbourn and are humorous but underpinned by a darker side. They are designed to explore how being uprooted from the safety of our comfort-zone and embracing change can result in personal growth and greater happiness. |
