Murder Mysteries
Sarah has been commissioned to write her murder mysteries by her local Amateur Dramatic group as fund raisers for the group. She focuses on writing humorous scripts that are easy to stage in a village hall or similar type setting. As most small Amateur Dramatic groups tend to have more women than men wishing to act her scripts reflect this. |
Dressed To Kill Review Performed by Kingston Bagpuize Drama Group Southmoor Village Hall 13th July 2024 ‘Dressed to Kill’ is a Murder Mystery superbly written by Sarah Curran, and I defy anyone to watch this production and tell me it hadn’t been penned by a professional author. The action of ‘Dressed to Kill’ is set in a Village Hall in 1983 during a rehearsal by the Drama Group for their forthcoming show. Hilarious throughout - and with a moment of pure genius from the author Sarah (which I won't spoil) included in the storyline. Let's just say I thought we have a new tribute act in the making here! To sum up, ‘Dressed to Kill’ was a professional production and thoroughly entertaining. |
Deadly Encounter Review Performed by Kingston Bagpuize Drama Group Southmoor Village Hall 18th May 2019 The Kingston Bagpuize Drama Group was formed in 1949 so to celebrate their 70th anniversary they sought a Murder Mystery play set in that year. Unable to find one, group member Sarah Curran offered to write one for them. The end product was performed in the village hall on May 18th to an impressive hall filled to the brim with an audience of 140. It was hilarious! Well done KBDG, congratulations on a worthy production to mark 70 years of entertaining the village.
