Note that Lazy Bee Scripts does not provide a script for the dialogue.
Because the actors are interacting with the audience, it is not possible to stick to a fixed script. Instead the actors improvise dialogue based on the "narrative arc."
| What's a Murder Mystery Event? |
- The audience members are brought together for a fictitious 'special event'. A murder takes place, which the participants are invited to solve.
- In this case
- The event is the launch of the new M'Nango Valley theme park
- The 'audience' has the role of the people invited to the launch - local worthies and potential investors and suppliers
- As the actors progress with the launch presentation, the plot mystery develops until one of the characters is found murdered...
- Arguments and recriminations follow, leading to another murder...

What's the Mystery Here?
Oregon Smith, the intrepid explorer, has purchased land on Stockgrove Park, a local estate (close to the venue for this event). He will use the land to build a theme park, celebrating African culture and history (in a slightly warped way!)
The event is a gathering to launch the plans of the park to local residents and business representatives (the audience).
Oregon Smith is there in person, to expound on his plans.
Also present are:-
Tanya Smith, Oregon's new 'trophy wife'
Lady Stockgrove who sold land to Smith and is now horrified by his plans
Rick Adams, newly hired manager of the park, on the rebound from a German theme park
Jane Wilde, Oregon's fixer on the local council.
Oregon's plans for the park are already raising the hackles of his team, when the event is gatecrashed by Scrapey a renound environmental activist who believes the park will damage the habitat of a rare butterfly.
He is accompanied by fellow eco-warrior Sunbeam
The entrance of Scrapey and Sunbeam throws the whole event off the rails. Chaos ensues, eventually leading to two murders.
