- After an introduction from a Master of Ceremonies, the cast play Dying for a Leak in two short scripted acts.
- The audience examine four written pieces of evidence then interrogate the suspects.
- The audience write down their accusations, then the Master of Ceremonies (or the detective) reveals the solution.
- This Mystery Needs
- An 'acting company' of 7 to 8 people, including at least 2 men and 4 women
- One set comprising furniture
- Estimated run times (which may vary enormously!)

Derek 'Del' Fyniam has called a meeting of Snogley and District Gardeners in the Shire in the run-up to the annual show. In attendence are:
Del's long-suffering partner, Rhoda Dendron.
The former treaurer, Flora Bundy, who resigned under a cloud.
Flora's friend Daisy Cheyne, the club secretary.
Terry Cotter-Potts Del's arch-rival in the leek-growing competition.
The club's glamorous social secretary, Bella Donner.
Things get a little heated. So heated that Detective Inspector Chris Anthemum has to be called in to unearth a murderer.
