What's the Mystery Here?
Morder at the Movies takes place in 1945, the golden age of British filmmaking. 'Brief Liaison' is being filmed at Henham Film Studios in Buckinghamshire. Unfortunately, Charles Reynolds, the director, has made some decisions that have upset the cast and crew. On the set with him are:-
Leading man, Laurence Craven, whose acting does not inspire the rest of the cast.
Laurence's wife, Clara Bennett, the leading lady.
Actor Freddie Lancaster who was originally cast in the lead.
Disgruntled screenwriter, Bertie Hayes.
Production assistant Frances Malory, who is suspiciously close to Charles.
Make up assistant Lillian Peters, who has been told-off for loitering on the set.
Conflicts on and off the set come to a head with a murder. Detective Inspector Aubrey Hart is called in, but needs the help of the audience to solve the case.
