The audience get to eavesdrop on an on-line case review into the death of Austin Grinter. Those taking part are:-
Detective Sergeant Stephanie Nook the investigating officer
Superintendent Vicky Blanchard the case review officer
Local clergyman, Rev. Trevor Bishop
Abigail Pounder, clerk of Cuddington Parish Council
The accused, Ted Cooper, who trades as Ted's Sheds
Cooper's solicitor, Kimberley Strut
Lysander Bell, a village historian
By the end of the review, the police are ready to take the case forward, but the audience (with guidance from a Master of Ceremonies) get to have their say first.
