What's a Murder Mystery Event? |
- The audience members are brought together for a fictitious 'special event' (and encouraged to dress appropriately for the occasion). A murder takes place, which the participants are invited to solve.
- In this case
- A banquet held in honour of Henry VIII, whose considerable presence is expected at any moment!
- Assembles are nobles, a cardinal and a court jester - but amongst them lurks a deadly assassin
- After a speech from the host, and a sales pitch from the cardinal, the gathering degenerates, with arguments and inappropriate behaviour
- When one of the assembly falls down dead, the assassin's calling card is found. Can the audience - below the salt - solve the crime?
- This Mystery Needs
- An 'acting company' of 4 men and 2 women

What's the Mystery Here?
The year is 1526 in the reign of King Henry VIII. The king is on tour, and his arrival at a manor house is eagerly anticipated.
There we find:
Sir John Veillance Lord of the Manor and host of the event
Lady Margaret, his wife
Cardinal Syn An Italian, paying a visit from Rome
Elvis Priestly, a jester from the royal court, providing entertainment for the feast
But what's this? Gatecrashers at a banquet for the king?
Thomas Easily a wealthy and respected gentleman, forced to stop after an accident to his carriage
Anne Easily Thomas’ beautiful young bride
A chance to meet the monarch means that there is a palpable sense of excitement, but the talk on everyone's lips is of The Thrush, a deadly assassin whose recent murders have cast a long shadow. As the evening progresses and the King has not arrived, tempers fray, until one of the party falls victim to poison - and on the body is found the assassin’s trademark calling card!
