- A combination of drama from an acting company and detective work from the audience
- In this case
- After the MC's introduction, a cast with a lot of facial hair performs three scenes after which a murder is discovered.
- There's a further scene of interrogation from Detectives Sutherland and Hopper before the audience make their (written) accusations.
- All is revealed in a final scripted scene.

What's the Mystery Here?
Competitors and guests are arriving in Edinburgh for the International Moustache Championships, but there's a deranged serial killer on the loose. Someone who steals the moustaches from his victims! The people gathering for the event include:-
Freya Yorke criminology student and part-time barmaid.

Representing Germany, Herr Lip
Hannah Lip his wife.
From Texas, Trixie Steinbeck with her sister
Emmylou Steinbeck together, the first female competitors at the event!
From France, Hugo Dubois the face of ‘Ackermann’s Exquisite Moustache Wax’
The current champion is Scottish competitor Douglas Palmer hence his home nation is staging the event.
Things get a little hairy as three detectives get involved after a murder is discovered, but it really needs the audience to sort it all out!
There is a Master of Ceremonies with a partially scripted role and even an optional character to add to the confusion!
