What's a Murder Mystery Event? |
- The audience members are brought together for a fictitious 'special event' (and encouraged to dress appropriately for the occasion). A murder takes place, which the participants are invited to solve.
- In this case
- Set around a meal (where the audience might be invited to wear period costume), the cast perform two scenes during which a murder is discovered.
- On the basis of what they have seen, and a series of written clues, the audience briefly interrogate the cast.
- The audience submit their suspicions before a final scripted scene in which the murderer is revealed.

- An 'acting company' of 10 people, including at least 4 men and 5 women
- One set comprising furniture
- Estimated run times (which may vary enormously!)

What's the Mystery Here?
On August 16th, 1941 a series of events are being held at Siddlington Hall to help the war effort. At a lull in the proceedings, the organisers gather to prepare for the evening's dance. They are
Sir George Trumpington-Smyth owner of Siddlington Hall,
Hi wife, Lady Mary,
Annie Robertson WI bigwig and event organiser,
Rev. Obadiah Harper, vicar of St Geraldine’s in the village,
Joan Whittaker, Chair of the Parish Council,
Home Guard platoon leader Major William ‘Bill’ Wilkins
Postmistress Gladys Cole, who also runs the village telephone exchange,
The village physician, Dr David Worth,
Florence Middleton a nurse, working a Siddlington Hall.
All is not well amongst the gathering, in fact, things are so bad that one of them doesn't survive the evening.
The audience need to solve the murder, with the assistance of a narrator who guides them through the procedure.
