The Gala Programme by Tony Best

SynopsisA sufragette rebellion is projected back to Roman times. The Romans, needless to say, did not have very modern attitudes to female participation in the political process, and the emperor's solution to the problem is calculated to please the crowd of the circus maximus rather than twenty-first century sensibilities!

SynopsisLord and Lady Cardigan of Punaway Manor receive an unexpected visitor - Inspector Foote of the Yard, investigating the baffling murder of the young bank clerk, Clark Clarke. The real Inspector Foote announces himself from the audience and the case is brought to a shuddering denouement with the arrest of the ‘real’ criminal.
