Tom-Tom by John Peel
RolesMinimum Male roles = 1. Minimum Female roles = 1. Minimum total with doubling = 2. Minimum total without doubling = 3. No chorus. One of the characters is a synthesised voice that might possibly be recorded, though that requires a lot of cues to be executed well by the sound desk!

Tommy's Burglar by Rob Burbidge
RolesMinimum Male roles = 1. Minimum Female roles = 0. Minimum total with doubling = 2. Minimum total without doubling = 2. No chorus. One adult and one child. Both characters are written as male, but the child could easily be changed to female.

StyleA very short play for two actors (based on a short story by O. Henry).
SynopsisTommy is a sweet child, doomed to be in a story where he interrupts a burglar about his nefarious business and inevitably sets back on the road to righteousness. The burglar for his part, is disgruntled about endlessly burgling houses at the whim of the narrator only to be redirected by a succession of sickly sweet kids. A knowing comic sketch.

Tony and Bee-ing Cleopatra by Fiona Scott Patrick
RolesMinimum Male roles = 0. Minimum Female roles = 2. Minimum total with doubling = 4. Minimum total without doubling = 6. No chorus. Lindsay is dressed in a bumble bee costume with a Cleopatra wig. (Just in case you need a hint about the provenance of the strange title.) The cast includes four numbered tourists. Others might drift through!

SynopsisLindsay is handing out flyers for her show at the Edinburgh Fringe, but she feels she's too old to be there - she's a serious actress. Then she meets Tony, a little drunk and recently dumped by her boyfriend, and the pair find a new enthusiasm for acting.

StyleA strong short with a good balance of comedy and pathos. Two well-written characters with a believably messy friendship. Would make a fun challenge for a pair of actresses.
SynopsisIt's summer 1976 and Britain is roasting. Long-term friends Stella and Avril are now in their 40s and much divorced, but while Stella seems to have settled for the single life, Avril enthusiastically announces yet another engagement.

SynopsisThe aftermath of a fatal attraction - in this case the attraction of the narrator's wife to the contractor they hired to renovate their house, or, more specifically, to his tool belt. Whilst grieving the loss of his wife, the narrator is determined to finish the renovation, despite it clearly being beyond his capabilities.

SynopsisIn a delightfully conversational and friendly way night club Cloakroom Attendant - or should that be 'Coat Hanger' or 'Personal Items Controller'? - Leanne Fishwicik gives us an amusing insight into her work as she trawls through items left at the cloakroom to give us a run down on her regular customers' lives and habits. We get a glimpse of her feelings for dreamboat boss, Simon prompted by her trawling through his 'personal item' left in her control.
