Perseus - A Hero's Headhunt by Nicholas Richards
RolesMinimum Male roles = 4. Minimum Female roles = 4. Minimum total with doubling = 8. Minimum total without doubling = 25. No chorus. Whilst there are nominally 25 roles, the piece is structured for flexibility - and could be played as a series of linked sketches with different actors playing the recurring characters.

SynopsisThe story of Perseus is told with a mixture of narration and brief, dramatised scenes. The narration is delivered by the gods Athene and Hermes - who also take part in several scenes (because they want the hero to get a head.)

Perseus and Medusa by Tony North
RolesMinimum Male roles = 4. Minimum Female roles = 11. Minimum total with doubling = 18. Minimum total without doubling = 30. Chorus. The chorus is nominally 12 people (representing the gods of Ancient Greece). Only one of the three Gorgons speaks, likewise only one of the three Graces.

Perseus and the Gorgon's Head by Geoff Bamber
RolesMinimum Male roles = 5. Minimum Female roles = 3. Minimum total with doubling = 9. Minimum total without doubling = 24. No chorus. Twenty-three speaking roles plus non-speaking builders. Very flexible casting, with lots of opportunities for doubling (Perseus, for example, could bear an uncanny resemblance to his father!)

StyleOne-act comedy play for kids. (One-act in length, four acts in structure.) A retelling of Greek myth. No set requirements.
SynopsisDanae and her son Perseus are thrown out of Argos. (The play doesn't say where they do their shopping after that.) They are washed-up on the island of Seriphos, where King Polydectes has designs on Danae. To get rid of Perseus, Polydectes sends him on a quest to bring back the head of the Gorgon Medusa. With help from unlikely quarters (gods, the Delphic Oracle, that sort of thing), Perseus succeeds. Pausing only to rescue the beautiful Andromeda, he returns to Seriphos and fulfils his destiny with a javelin.

Peter and The Violin Teacher by Nicholas Richards
RolesMinimum Male roles = 2. Minimum Female roles = 0. Minimum total with doubling = 2. Minimum total without doubling = 2. No chorus. The characters are both written male - one old, eccentric adult, and one young, precocious boy. Could be played with the ages as written, but could also be played by two children or two adults.

Peter Pan - A Pantomime by Stephen and Rachel Humphreys

SynopsisThe classic JM Barrie tale given a panto twist, in which Smee has become Mrs Smee, Captain Hook's Nanny, but the Lost Boys, Tinkerbell, Wendy John and Michael are all as they ever were, along with Red Indians (sorry, Native Americans) and mermaids...

Peter Pan - Youth Version by Rachael Ashworth

StyleAn adaptation of J M Barrie's Peter Pan written to be performed by a mixed age group of young people to a family audience.
SynopsisWendy, Michael and John Darling accompany Peter Pan to Neverland, 'flying' through a scene using simple ultraviolet light effects. The lost boys greet them, along with Tiger Lily and (in a twist to the original) her tribe of bickering sisters and cute little brother. A gang of pirates provide comedy and lots of topical/child friendly banter. With audience participation, this is a show which has received rave reviews and standing ovations from the audiences it has been performed to.
