Samson - The Play by Sue Gordon
RolesMinimum Male roles = 11. Minimum Female roles = 8. Minimum total with doubling = 22. Minimum total without doubling = 33. No chorus. Whilst the script doesn't specify a chorus, there are groups of 'Israelites' and 'Philistines' and 'Delilah's friends' whose numbers could be expanded.

Production by Newton Stewart Players won The Fullarton Trophy (Best Stage presentation) and the Tom Clement memorial Trophy (Best Moment of theatre) in the Stewartry District of the SCDA festival, 2018.

With three pleas of 'not guilty' the courtroom is in for some surprising twists to familiar stories.

Who wants to be a Millipede? by Sue Gordon

Whilst some of the characters are given specific gender, they are, when all's said and done, invertebrates, so it doesn't really matter! There's no formal chorus, but there could be many more 'minibeasts'.

SynopsisA group of garden-dwelling invertebrates (arthropods, molluscs and an earthworm, since you ask) are under threat from a pesticide attack and need to go on a journey to seek a new habitat. The millipede puts his best foot forward (having spent some time working out which one it is).
