A Pig Tale by Kevin Jannetts
Production by Loch Duich Primary School won Adjudicator's special award. South West Ross District Youth SCDA Festival 2016.
RolesMinimum Male roles = 1. Minimum Female roles = 1. Minimum total with doubling = 7. Minimum total without doubling = 7. Chorus. The chorus is the sort that rushes on to perform songs and dances in various guises! Most of the roles are gender-neutral, although one of the pigs is called Maureen and the wolf is called Alan, both of which tend to be specific.

SynopsisThe story of the Three Pigs gets a revamp in this Scots story, allowing a couple of Narrators to bring the story to life with anthropomorphic pigs struggling to find a story they can take part in to keep their deal with a Fairy Solicitor. Add in a Big Bad Wolf called Alan, and it all works out fine in the end.

SynopsisQuite by chance one day, an unnoticeable log of forest wood is transformed by a magical blue fairy into Geppetto the wood carver’s dearest wish - a son to call his own. But how can a poor wood carver guide the young boy? There are so many things he must learn. Guided by the fairy’s good intentions and helped along by the villagers, Pinocchio gets involved with fire eaters, marionettes, a fox, a cat and a very lazy boy called Lampwick, as he progresses towards his real boyhood. There’s even a giant shark at the end...
