The Shakespeare Convention by Christine Harvey (with YAK Drama Camp)
RolesMinimum Male roles = 0. Minimum Female roles = 0. Minimum total with doubling = 19. Minimum total without doubling = 38. No chorus. There are male and female characters, but in Shakespeare's day, they were all played by men, and there is no reason why the reverse convention should not be applied (or anywhere between the two ectremes).

SynopsisBumbling producer Burbage and his irate associate Iggy have put together a Shakespeare convention, at which the actors perform four plays and a sonnet in a rather unconventional manner. Iggy is out to ruin Burbage, but loses the plot a little towards the end!

Personal stylist Juste Valadier is called in to turn Tarquin into a more attractive proposition. Also in attendance is a sinister Eastern European hit-man seeking out his victim and willing to eliminate anyone in his way. Add to the mix the Finneran family and blunt businessman, Norman Arbuthnot and a successful event seems a rather distant possibility...

Sheer Luck Holmes by Bob Heather and Cheryl Barrett

StyleBritish pantomime treatment of Conan Doyle's great detective. Originally published in 2012, with a reworked version published in August 2017.
SynopsisPantomime with a capital P! All of the familiar panto ingredients and characters are here as the goodies all join together to solve the mysterious case of the missing art works. Holmes is assisted by his housekeeper Dottie the dame, the frustrated inventor of fantastical gadgets, and Baskerville the pantomime dog, in his quest to thwart baddies Mary Arty and Hudson the butcher whose sausages are not all they seem. The story moves at pace to the happy ending with quickfire repartee, reminiscent of Abbot and Costello coupled with lots of action, audience participation, song and dance, a love story and lashings of corny jokes.
