1001 Arabian Nights and a Matinee by tlc Creative

SynopsisThere's trouble brewing in old Baghdad! Unless the Princess Jasmina marries before her 21st Birthday, the evil Vizier will take control of the city! Things look grim... but hang on! A posse of would-be heroes are here to save the day! The love sick Ali Barber (who pines for the Princess), his dim witted brother Singbad the sailor and his fearsome mother, Dame Barber are ready to intervene and foil the villain's fiendish plot. They are helped along the way by their pal 'Bob' (a lad with a secret), a pantomime camel named Humpy and a lady Genie who's been stuck in a magic ruby for far too long!

Ali Baba by Bob Hammond
RolesMinimum Male roles = 4. Minimum Female roles = 3. Minimum total with doubling = 17. Minimum total without doubling = 18. Chorus. Usual pantomime juxtapositions. Ali Baba is an old man, his wife is the pantomime dame, Hassan, their son, the principal boy (so played by a girl). After that, you can make up your own mind!

Ali Baba [Version 3] by Hilary Mackelden

StyleFull-length British pantomime.
SynopsisThere's trouble in store for the Babas of Baghdad. Not only has the landlord doubled the rent, but the forty thieves, led by Sheikh Blackheart, have stolen everything in sight, and Ali's mum, Rum Baba, is getting the blame! Along with Ali's brother Cassim and girlfriend Morgiana, they must find the stolen treasures and defeat the thieves, and all before they're evicted and their home turned into a luxury resort for billionaires. It's going to be a busy day.

Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves by Stuart Ardern
RolesMinimum Male roles = 2. Minimum Female roles = 3. Minimum total with doubling = 21. Minimum total without doubling = 30. Chorus. Comes with the opportunity for the usual pantomime gender juxtapositions. Includes a pantomime camel. There are four named thieves, and the author recommends another six to make up to forty, though it might be possible with fewer!

StyleBritish pantomime with magic, spectacle, music, visual jokes, slapstick and verbal humour.
SynopsisAli Baba falls for the Sultan's daughter and determines to impress her by retrieving valuables stolen by a band of thieves. Unfortunately, the thieves have other ideas. Ali has Salma, the resourceful servant girl, a Genie, a camel with integral SatNav, and, of course, his mother to call on, but what he really needs is an audience to help him win through!

Ali Baba and the Four Tea Thieves by Lee Baddock & Chris Kirby
RolesMinimum Male roles = 4. Minimum Female roles = 2. Minimum total with doubling = 14. Minimum total without doubling = 16. Chorus. The chorus is optional. The cast includes a pantomime camel and the usual pantomime juxtopositions - with the dame played by a man and the 'principal boy' role open to a lady.

StyleFull-length British pantomime - jokes, slapstick, that sort of thing. One scene is a bit bloodthirsty, but the authors provide an alternative in the Producer's Copy of the script!
SynopsisAli Baba overhears the thieves password to get into their treasure cave. Unfortunately for him, the thieves find out and sneak after him disguised as oil jars! (Fortunately for Ali, the thieves are rather incompetent and, for many years, have stolen little but tea!)

Ali The Barber and the Forty Thieves by Hugh Smith
RolesMinimum Male roles = 2. Minimum Female roles = 1. Minimum total with doubling = 6. Minimum total without doubling = 6. No chorus. Thirty-seven of the forty thieves remain off-stage.

All at Sea by Peter Ayre

As with all such pantomimes, there's a lot of flexibility in the casting - two of the female parts could be played by males as pantomime dames, the hero could be played by a female - the traditional pantomime principal boy.
