Synopsis:
When Baroness Gertrude adopts a peasant's baby daughter, a travelling hermit prophesies that the girl will marry Gertrude's son. Gertrude has already planned to marry her son to a Princess, so she tries to get rid of the child - only to find that fate brings them together again soon enough...
