Gerry Murphy has fun with Shakespeare, retelling Romeo and Juliet in modern America, and mixing bits of Shakespeare's text with modern idiom. Aimed at high-school students.
Synopsis
:
The time is now and in Pub Verona the Montagues and Capulets are still feuding, only now it's an argument over who wrote the Complete Works of Shakespeare. There's trouble when Romeo and Juliet fall in love, and trouble of a different kind involving explosives and a pick-up truck.
